Jean Shen presents weekly classes in San Diego, and is available for master classes, workshops and lectures on request. Her approach draws on extensive experience in teaching art to students ranging from beginning to advanced level. Qualified in education at Claremont Graduate School and University Center, she has delivered programmes to the University of California San Diego, the Athenaeum School of the Arts in La Jolla, and several community colleges and organizations throughout the US and Asia.

Master classes, workshops and lectures in Chinese brush painting and calligraphy (including abstract calligraphy) are available on request. These are delivered at all levels from beginning to advanced. Lectures are suitable for anyone with an interest in artistic expression, and do not require any specific skills or knowledge.
